Elk hunting remains one of the most exilirating hunt. Elks are athletes of the mountains, hunting them requires energy and focus, but the reward of harvesting a mature bull is unparalled.

BOW SEASON

Bow season run for two weeks, from September 1 to 16.  In early September, you will be in the pre-rut, where bulls are getting excited for the mating season and starting their endeavor to find the cows and measure themselves to other bulls.

RIFFLE SEASON

Our riffle season is long, running from September 16 to November 30. We are blessed with having the right to hunt during the pic of the rut in September, which brings the excitement to another level. Buggling with bulls is something you'll remember for a lifetime.

October, with the changing of color, brings the second rut, where bulls are still on the chase to find unbred cows going back into estrous.  This brief period of time still provides a burst of rutting action.

November remains a great month for elk hunting. Colder days, snow on the ground helps stocking the bulls that are now resting and feeding in meadows.  Glassing and walking the landscape will reward the hunter with small groups of resident bulls.
